USTA 2012 Ratings are OUT!

Lillian Kelsey’s 3.5 Ladies Senior Team (Twisted Strings) is on their way to Sectionals in Seal Beach on September 23rd. They secured the spot with a 3-0 win over Ventura and an overall 9-1 record.  It’s the first time for this team and we wish them lots of luck.

Court Resurfacing will begin on September 1st, 2011

FINALLY, court resurfacing will begin on September 1st (ahead of the original plan).  Courts 1,2,7 and 8 will be the first and will be unavailable for play from September 1st to the 5th (Labor Day).  The other 4 courts (toward the soccer/baseball fields) will be unavailble for play following that, September 6th through the 10th.  That’s courts 3,4,5 and 6. 

Just a note….Only 4 courts will be available for the Moorpark Labor Day Social.

USTA Captain’s Pledge

This is to verify that all of the members of my team in the

are members of the Moorpark Tennis Club, and their memberships are effective through the end of the league season. I understand that I will not be able to schedule MTC team matches until my team members are verified as MTC members. I agree that I will not add anyone to my team who is not such a MTC member, or play any person who is not a MTC member.

I understand that if I do not comply with each of the terms of this pledge, I will be barred from participating as a Captain or player on any MTC-sponsored team in a USTA league, for one year.

Notice to USTA Captains

Anyone who wishes to captain a Moorpark Tennis Club team in a USTA league, must indicate by e-mail, in the pledge form, their agreement to assure that all of the members of their MTC-sponsored team are members of the MTC. The e-mail pledge must be returned to Wendy Williams at wendywilli@roadrunner.com, before the date Captains are required to register the minimum number of team members with the USTA.

MTC will compare the names you submit to the USTA for your team with the MTC Membership Roster. If any of your team members do not appear as MTC members, you will not be able to arrange for MTC team matches through Wendy Williams. The purpose of this process is to insure compliance with the Membership Rule BEFORE a non-MTC member is placed on a MTC team or has played for the t
